West Edge is a monthly gathering of the people who serve older adults on this side of the water. We meet so that nobody has to say I'm not sure who handles that.
What it is
A room of care communities, home care agencies, placement advisers, attorneys, realtors, therapists, financial people and community organisations. Every member sits at a different point in the same family's life, so a referral from any one of us is warm by definition.
We do not limit the room to one business per category. Communities that compete for the same residents sit next to each other and host each other. What we ask is that you actually serve older adults, and that you show up.
What it isn't
It isn't a lead club and there are no referral quotas. Half of what happens in the room is education — a speaker most months, and a distribution list people use to ask each other real questions about real clients.
